The yellow line doesn't announce itself against those cool surrounding veils - it belongs among them, known and knowing, its warmth made more precise by everything it moves through. Rumi understood this distinction well: the drunkenness that comes from wine fades by morning, but the drunkenness that comes from the beloved deepens with familiarity. Kathryn Weill's camera found that second kind here, light so comfortable in its own beauty that it requires nothing from the viewer except presence.
